Bastiaan van de Rakt has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in different companies. Bastiaan co-founded Deeploy in 2020, where they serve as a Co-Founder. Before Deeploy, Bastiaan co-founded Enjins in 2018, a company that builds Machine Learning Engines for fast-growing scale-ups and challengers.

Bastiaan is an Investor at Goboony since 2017, and they are a Member of the Supervisory Board at NKC Europa's grootste camperclub since 2019.

Bastiaan worked at EY VODW as a Senior Manager Data Science - Associate from 2014 to 2018, and as a Senior Predictive Analytics Specialist from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they were an Advisor and Co-Founder at INIT8, a tech consultancy company for the healthcare sector, from 2003 to 2013. Bastiaan was also a Researcher in Business Administration - Decision Support Systems at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University from 2002 to 2003, and a Junior Researcher at ERBS - Erasmus Research & Business Support in 2002.

Bastiaan van de Rakt began their education at Dominicus College, where they studied from 1990 to 1996. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled at Delft University of Technology. From 1996 to 1998, they pursued a degree in Civil Engineering. Continuing their education at the same university, Bastiaan completed a Master of Science degree in Technology, Policy and Management with a specialization in Engineering Systems & Services. This program lasted from 1996 to 2002.
