Harri Hyvönen

Harri Hyvönen has a diverse work experience in the field of design engineering and project engineering. Harri started their career in 2008 as a Fitter at FLAKT WOODS LIMITED, where they were involved in part manufacturing and assembly of roof fan models. Harri then worked at Konepaja Häkkinen Oy as a Fitter, assembling and machining Wärtsilä's engine blocks and performing pressure testing. In 2012, they joined Turku University of Applied Sciences as a Design Engineer during a summer trainee program, where they designed solutions for various small customer projects.

In 2013, Harri worked at VG Shipping Oy as a Researcher, focusing on thesis work related to the usability of biofuels in replacing heavy fuel oil in ocean-going vessels. Harri conducted research on biofuel properties and was responsible for maintenance and inspection of engines. Harri continued their work in design engineering at Vahterus from 2016 to 2022, designing and developing heat exchanger solutions for global customers in the energy, refrigeration, chemical, and process industries. Harri provided technical support and expertise in ASME Section VIII, EN 13445, and PED 2014/68/EU standards.

From 2015 to 2016, Harri also worked at Westecon Oy as a Design Engineer. More recently, in 2022, they joined Enmac Oy as a Design Engineer. Their responsibilities include mechanical design and project engineering, as well as design and development projects for various companies.
