Zsuzsanna Lichner is a seasoned research associate at the Keenan Biomedical Research Centre, St. Michael's Hospital, with experience dating back to 2010. Currently serving as a project manager and scientific consultant at Enrich Bioscience, Zsuzsanna focuses on enhancing cancer diagnostics via a patented liquid biopsy technology that detects cancer-specific DNA methylation patterns. Past roles include positions as a scientific consultant at BirdCloud, a guest lecturer at the University of Toronto, and research associate at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute, where Zsuzsanna developed an organoid-based model for kidney cancer research. Zsuzsanna's foundational research on the role of miRNAs in cancer pathogenesis was conducted during postdoctoral fellowships at St. Michael's Hospital and KRESCENT. Zsuzsanna holds a PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Szent Istvan University and a Master of Science in Biology from the University of Szeged.
