Bin Guo has a diverse work experience in signal processing and technology research. Starting in 1997 as a Lecturer at Xian Jiaoting University, they investigated parallel implementation methods and taught courses on computational electromagnetics. Bin then moved on to work as an Associate Scientist at the National University of Singapore, where they focused on wave-material interactions and created software packages for electromagnetic simulation. In 2003, they joined the University of Florida as a Research Assistant, improving image reconstruction methods for medical imaging and developing simulation codes. At Duke University, starting in 2007, they applied compressive sensing theory in non-uniform array signal processing. As a Research Associate at the University of Florida in 2009, they worked on high-resolution signal processing methods for synthetic-aperture radar and SAR-based ground moving target indication. Later, they worked as a Senior Software Scientist at AUM Inc, developing machine learning algorithms for the diagnosis of coronary artery disease and designing signal finding algorithms for electronic stethoscopes. Lastly, at ENSCO, Inc., they worked as a Staff Signal Processing Engineer, focusing on signal processing for inertial-based geometry systems, GPS tracking with Kalman filters, and deep learning.
Bin Guo obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1997. Bin then pursued a Master's degree in the same field from the same university, completing it in 2000. Following this, Bin Guo enrolled at the University of Florida, where they earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 2007.
