Joseph Alvarez

Joseph Alvarez has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Joseph currently works at ENSCO, Inc. as a DevOps Integration Lead and a Senior Information Systems Security Engineer. Prior to this, they held the position of Information Systems Security Engineer III at the same company. Joseph also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Cyber Resilience Institute, where they collaborated on curriculum and exercise development for a cyber threat hunting course. Joseph has experience as a Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager at Randolph and Baldwin and served as a Faculty Research Assistant at Harvard University. Joseph's early career includes roles in the US Army, where they held positions such as Aviation Brigade Chief of Operations and Protection, Captains Career Course Student, and Infantry Battalion Operations Officer. Joseph also had the opportunity to work as a Congressional Staff intern in the Office of Senator Pete V. Domenici at the United States Senate.

Joseph Alvarez is currently enrolled at Harvard University, pursuing a degree in ALM. Joseph'seducation at Harvard started in 2019 and is ongoing. In addition to their degree program, Joseph has obtained several certifications. In May 2020, they earned the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA. Following that, in March 2022, they became a Certified SAFe® 5 Program Consultant through Scaled Agile, Inc. Joseph further enhanced their credentials in August 2022 by obtaining the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)². Finally, in February 2023, they acquired the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
