Joel Turunen

Joel Turunen is an experienced project and technology manager currently at Ensense since August 2019. Previously, Joel held the role of process specialist at Vapo Oy from May 2017 to July 2019, contributing to data analytics in energy production and leading the implementation of an open-source production planning system. As a master's thesis worker, Joel is developing innovative methods for production planning using cloud computing and machine learning, alongside exploring improvements through data analytics and automation. Additional roles include project worker for an online safety training course at Vapo, production planning trainee, and earlier experiences as a trainee at Adven Group and salesman at K Market. Joel holds a Master of Science degree in Energy and Process Technology from Tampere University of Technology, completed in 2018.
