Denis Umpleby

Denis Umpleby has a diverse range of work experience spanning various roles in the creative industry. Denis is currently working as a Design Team Lead at Enso Connect since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Motion Graphic Designer at AdParlor from August 2018 to June 2022.

From August 2015 to August 2018, Denis worked as a Video Editor and Motion Designer at Universus Media Group Inc., where they were responsible for refining and completing video projects. Denis also utilized Adobe After Effects for motion design tasks.

Before that, Denis worked as a Multimedia Developer at Lokeel from November 2014 to August 2015, where they contributed to multimedia projects. Denis also gained freelance experience as a Video Editor and Videographer, collaborating with local individuals and businesses to develop customized video projects and branding from April 2014 to August 2015.

In 2015, Denis worked as a Digital Content Writer at Renegade Connect, where they researched topics and developed engaging and entertaining scripts for YouTubers.

Denis also gained experience at Rogers TV as a Volunteer from July 2014 to January 2015, where they assisted in studio productions, including camera operation, audio engineering, and video editing.

Denis started their career as an Assistant Multimedia Developer at Durham College from September 2012 to April 2014. Here, they focused on communications and marketing videos, including editing interviews and organizing video shoots.

Additionally, Denis worked as a Sound Engineer for the film "Saving Dinah" from April 2012 to August 2012.

Lastly, they began their professional journey as a Newspaper Carrier for Toronto Community News from September 2000 to April 2007, where they assembled and distributed newspapers and flyers to multiple locations.

Denis Umpleby attended Durham College from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained an Ontario College Diploma in Digital Video Production. Prior to that, they attended Wexford C.I. from 2004 to 2008, but no degree or field of study is specified for that period.

In addition to their formal education, Denis has obtained several certifications. These include "Learning Lightroom CC" from LinkedIn in February 2020, "The Creative Spark: Title Case, Typographic Artisans" from LinkedIn in April 2019, "Content Marketing: Social Media" from LinkedIn in January 2019, "Graphic Design Careers: First Steps" from LinkedIn in December 2018, and several others obtained throughout September 2018 and August 2018.
