Alexander Hains is a highly experienced scientist specializing in slurry formulation for the microelectronics industry. Currently serving as a Senior SME Scientist at Entegris since July 2022, following the acquisition of CMC Materials, Alexander has a robust background that includes previous roles at CMC Materials and Cabot Microelectronics Corporation, where responsibilities encompassed developing ceria and silica-based slurries for chemical mechanical planarization (CMP). With extensive knowledge gained through research positions at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Northwestern University, Alexander holds a PhD in Chemistry from Northwestern University, complemented by a Master's degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor's degree from Saint Olaf College. Alexander's career reflects a strong focus on innovation, intellectual property pursuit, and team management in research and development activities.
