Joanne Charlwood

Joanne Charlwood has a strong background in project management and leadership roles in the pharmaceutical industry. Joanne most recently served as a Project Director at Enterprise Therapeutics starting in 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Takeda as a Global External Project Director from 2018 to 2019. From 2017 to 2018, Joanne held the position of Head of R&D Programs at hVIVO, and from 2014 to 2017, they were the Director of R&D Programs at the same company. Before joining hVIVO, Joanne worked at Novartis as an Associate Director of Project Management from 2009 to 2014. Joanne began their career as a Biochemist at GlaxoSmithKline from 1997 to 2008, where they gained experience in drug discovery and development, as well as regulatory submissions and presentations.

Joanne Charlwood obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry/biochemistry from Imperial College London, where they attended from 1991 to 1994. Joanne later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry at the University of London from 1994 to 1997.
