Kuya holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech, and both an M.S. in mechanical engineering and a B.S. in biomedical engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Kuya contributes innovative thinking to robotics perception and human-robot interaction, including autonomous driving and non-line-of-sight target estimation based on optical and acoustic sensor fusion. Prior to joining Enthought, Kuya was a postdoctoral research fellow at the George Washington University. There, he developed hardware and software for the autonomous exploration of cooperative aerial vehicles.
