Amanda Sutherland has a wealth of experience in a variety of roles. Amanda began their career in 2012 as a Girls Football Coach at Edinburgh University. In 2014, they volunteered at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games as a Badminton Mopper. In 2015, they worked as a Market Research Interviewer for Logistics Glasgow, a Volunteer Football Coach for Street Soccer Scotland, and was the recipient of the SATPE Peter Bilsborough Award. In 2016, they were a Probationary Teacher for West Dumbartonshire Council, a Volunteer Speaker for the Scottish Association of PE Teachers (SATPE), and a Volunteer Football Coach for Spartans Community Football Academy. Finally, in 2018, they held the roles of Senior Partnerships Associate and Partnerships Associate at Enthuse.

Amanda Sutherland attended Our Lady and St Patricks High School from 2006 to 2012. After graduating, they attended the Strathclyde University Accelerate Course in 2012. Amanda then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Education - BEd in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching at the University of Edinburgh, which they completed in 2016. In 2017, they obtained a NPLQ certification from the Royal Life Saving Society UK - RLSS UK.
