Luiza Motta

Luiza Motta is a Marine Biologist currently employed at Entrada Travel Group since September 2022, focusing on tourism tours, environmental education, and conservation at Frankland Islands. Prior experience includes a Master’s thesis on toxicology related to seaweed metabolism at Instituto de Química - Universidade de São Paulo from March 2018 to June 2021, as well as research on Antarctic algae as a Research Biologist aboard the ship H44 during PROANTAR XXXVII in late 2018. Luiza gained additional experience as an intern at various institutions, including the Central Laboratory of Structural Molecular Biology at UFSC, the Institute for Molecular Bioscience at UQ, and the Laboratory of Animal Venoms and Toxins at UFMG, working on projects related to enzyme activity and venom bioactivity. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from USP, a Dive Master certification from Scuba School International, and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais.
