Norma Abed

Norma Abed has extensive experience in social work, spiritual counseling, and intercultural mediation. Currently involved with Avant Ministries since July 2023, Norma also serves as the Founder-President of Tierra De Esperanza since March 2020 and is an intercultural mediator. At Entrust, active since January 2015, responsibilities include storytelling training and field leadership while promoting the organization's mission and supporting regional projects. Previously, from January 2000 to February 2015, Norma worked as a spiritual counselor and social worker in Prison Ministry, focusing on rehabilitation and second chances for inmates. Norma founded the House of Hope in Lebanon, a non-profit dedicated to helping former prisoners reintegrate into society, after serving as a social worker and spiritual counselor in the prison system. Early career experience includes working as a clinic administrator at The Cardio Vascular Institute from August 1997 to January 2002. Education was completed at Ecole Des Soeurs De Nazareth in Lebanon, with a focus on middle school education.
