Dan Pippard

Dan Pippard has extensive experience in the health, safety, regulatory, and environmental (HSE) field. Dan has held various leadership roles in several companies, starting with their current position as Chief Operating Officer at Pioneer Safety Solutions Ltd. Since joining Pioneer Safety Solutions in November 2020, they have been a part of the company's leadership team with a focus on creating a platform of cloud-based digital safety solutions.

Before joining Pioneer Safety Solutions, Dan served as the Director of Business Development at EnviroApps Inc. from April 2020. Dan contributed to the company's digital transformation by providing expertise in safety, regulatory compliance, and waste management.

Prior to that, Dan was the owner of Pippard Solutions Inc. since April 2019. Dan worked as a consultant, providing health, safety, environmental, and regulatory solutions to clients. During their time with Pippard Solutions, Dan successfully implemented a digital transformation of a safety management system for a client, improving frontline engagement and leadership participation in safety programs.

From February 2018 to April 2019, they worked as the General Manager of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) at Gibson Energy. Dan managed an integrated team of safety professionals in Canada and the US.

Dan Pippard served as the Vice President of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) - Global at Savanna Energy Services Corp. from August 2015 to July 2017. In this role, they provided leadership and guidance in developing and implementing the company's HSE strategy in partnership with business units in Canada, the US, and Australia.

Before joining Savanna Energy Services Corp., Dan held various positions at Newalta Corporation from January 2001 to February 2015. Dan served as the General Manager of Operations for the US, overseeing operations in North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Texas. Additionally, they were the General Manager of Operations for the Atlantic region, managing operations in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland. Dan also held the role of Executive Director of EH&S, responsible for driving excellence in environmental, safety, and sustainability performance. Lastly, they were a Technical/Compliance Manager at Newalta, implementing leading key performance indicators and positive recognition initiatives to improve safety and regulatory performance.

Dan started their career in the HSE field as a Senior Inspector/Gas Processing Technologist at the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board from 1984 to 1995. Dan conducted regulatory inspections and collaborated with industry representatives to ensure compliance.

Dan Pippard attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology from 1982 to 1984. During this time, they pursued a Technical Diploma in Petroleum Technology with a focus on Production Operations.
