Ben Salter

Ben Salter has extensive work experience in the environmental and ecological services industry. Ben began their career in 1999 as a Project Manager at Environmental Corporation of America. In 2002, they joined Western Carolina University as a Research/Teaching Assistant. From 2003 to 2003, they worked as a Biological Science Technician at the United States Forest Service, where they conducted genetic analysis for determining the origin of brook trout. In 2005, they became a Project Environmental Scientist at Malcolm Pirnie. Ben then worked as a Partner/Principal Scientist at Blue Ridge Ecological from 2006 to 2007. Currently, they are serving as the Vice President of Environmental and Ecological Services at Environmental Corporation of America.

Ben Salter earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Georgia College & State University in 1998. Ben then pursued a Master's Degree in Biology at Western Carolina University from 2002 to 2004. Additionally, Ben Salter holds certifications as a Registered Environmental Professional from the National Registry of Environmental Professionals, obtained in 2007, and as a Professional Wetland Scientist from the Society of Wetland Scientists - Professional Certification Program. The exact year of obtaining the Professional Wetland Scientist certification is unknown.
