Eliza Butterfield

Eliza Butterfield is an experienced manager and science analyst with a strong background in environmental health and policy. Currently serving as the Manager for the EWG Reviewed for Science™ reformulation program at the Environmental Working Group, Eliza oversees project management and provides science-based guidance on cosmetic formulations. Previous roles at the Environmental Working Group include managing the cosmetic formulation compliance team for EWG Verified™ and performing rigorous reviews of cosmetic formulations for health standards. Eliza also has experience as an Environmental Justice Fellow at the Center for Environmental Health, where efforts focused on banning harmful chemicals and informing policy through scientific research. Eliza's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Justice, Policy & Health from the University of California, Berkeley.
