Dieuwertje Nelissen has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Dieuwertje is currently working as the Chief Program Officer at Enviu, a role they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Regional Director for Southeast Asia at Enviu and as the Mission Reuse Program Manager on an interim basis.
Dieuwertje also held the position of Head of the Zero Waste Living Lab Program at Enviu, where they focused on reducing plastic pollution in Indonesia and Malaysia by developing reuse and refill solutions. Dieuwertje has also worked as the Mission Reuse Program Manager and as the Country Director for Enviu Chile, where they co-founded the Restore Venture Studio.

Dieuwertje Nelissen has a strong education background in the field of International Relations. Dieuwertje earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Relations from the University of Groningen, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Relations from the same university from 2010 to 2012.
Prior to their university studies, Dieuwertje attended Sint Ludgercollege Doetinchem from 1999 to 2005, where they completed their Gymnasium education.
