Tim Pease

Tim Pease has a diverse work experience history, starting in 1996 as an Associate Software Engineer at SRS Technologies. Tim then worked as a Systems Engineer I at Raytheon from 1999 to 2000. Tim joined Cyberlocator Inc. as a Software Engineer from 2000 to 2002.

In 2002, Tim started working at Ball Aerospace as an Engineer II, where they designed and developed software systems for testing and validating spacecraft hardware and software. During this time, Tim led a small team and created various tools and frameworks to improve the testing and validation process.

From 2007 to 2008, Tim worked at Collective Intellect as a Software Engineer II, where they developed a new text categorization system and improved the performance and usability of backend services.

Tim joined the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences in 2009 as an Associate Scientist III, where they worked until 2010.

From 2010 to 2012, Tim worked at LinkSmart, Inc. as a Software Engineer.

In 2012, Tim joined GitHub as a Senior Software Engineer. During their time at GitHub, Tim grew the search team, designed the search architecture, and implemented various improvements to the search system. Tim also served as the office manager for the Boulder office for three years.

Tim then worked at Stripe from 2019 to 2022 as a Senior Software Engineer. Tim'sresponsibilities included extending existing systems with new functionality and mentoring junior engineers.

Currently, Tim is a Staff Software Engineer at EOI Space, starting from 2022.

Tim Pease completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Mathematics at Oral Roberts University from 1991 to 1995. Tim then pursued their Master of Science degree in Physics at the University of Colorado Boulder from 1997 to 1999.
