Miguel de Mendes Pires

Miguel de Mendes Pires is a Técnico Superior at EPAL – Empresa Portuguesa das Águas Livres, SA, since February 2022, contributing to operational support, rehabilitation projects, and innovation in wastewater treatment and waste valorization. Previous experience includes a role in the Direção de Inovação e Desenvolvimento at AllRescue (2019-2020), where responsibilities involved ensuring beach safety and responding to emergencies. Miguel also interned at LNEC in early 2019, focusing on the performance evaluation of cooling towers in hydroelectric plants. Additional roles include serving as a lifeguard at Supera Areeiro and participating in sales at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa. Miguel holds a Mestrado Integrado in Engenharia do Ambiente from Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa and is currently pursuing further education at ISEL, expected to complete in November 2026.
