Kaitao Yang

Kaitao Yang has extensive experience in the field of data science and engineering. Kaitao most recently worked at Epicore Biosystems as the Senior Director of Machine Learning starting in January 2023. Prior to that, they were a Senior Data Engineer at Meta from March 2022 to January 2023. From December 2019 to November 2021, Kaitao worked at Philips as a Senior Data Scientist and Team Lead, where they led a team in developing AI-powered applications in the e-commerce industry. Previously, they worked at eBay as a Data Scientist specializing in Deep Learning from September 2017 to December 2019, where they were responsible for building machine learning applications for e-commerce challenges. Kaitao also worked as a Data Engineer at Jheronimus Academy of Data Science from May 2016 to August 2017, where they focused on maintaining and optimizing high-performance computing infrastructure and deep learning platform construction.

Kaitao Yang received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Information Engineering from Minzu University of China in 2009. Kaitao then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at Xiamen University from 2009 to 2012. In 2012, Kaitao Yang enrolled at Eindhoven University of Technology and obtained a Doctorate in Engineering in Electrical Engineering in 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Kaitao Yang obtained several certifications. Kaitao completed the "Medical Ethics 2015" certification from The School of Medical Physics and Engineering Eindhoven of Eindhoven University of Technology in January 2016. Kaitao also obtained certifications in "Scientific Integrity for TOIO's" from Eindhoven University of Technology in December 2015, "Risk management for safety critical systems" from Eindhoven University of Technology in March 2015, "Training in Writing Articles and Abstracts" from Eindhoven University of Technology in May 2014, and "Training in Intercultural Communication & Cooperation" from Eindhoven University of Technology in October 2012.
