Lars Torstensson

Lars Torstensson has a strong background in communications, strategy, and finance. Lars currently holds the position of Chief of Communications & IR at Epidemic Sound since June 2022. Prior to this, Lars was the Executive Vice President of Communications & IR at Modern Times Group MTG AB from June 2019 to June 2022. Lars also served as the Chief Financial Officer at MTG AB from September 2020 to May 2022.

Before joining MTG AB, Lars worked as the Chief Communications Officer at Sweco from January 2018 to June 2019. Lars also served as the Chief Communications Officer at Gelato, a software company, from November 2016 to December 2017.

Lars has significant experience in the telecom industry, having worked at Tele2 for several years in various senior roles. Lars served as the EVP of Strategy & Business Development from October 2015 to November 2016, EVP of Group Communication & Strategy from June 2014 to October 2015, Director of Investor Relations from January 2007 to March 2015, and EVP of Corporate Communications from January 2009 to June 2014.

Earlier in their career, Lars worked as a Telecom Services Analyst at Swedbank Robur from July 2000 to December 2006 and as an Analyst for Telecom Equipment at Danske Bank from July 2002 to December 2002. Lars started their career as a Nordic Equity & Derivatives Trader at Handelsbanken Asset Management, where they also participated in a 12-month trainee program.

Lars Torstensson completed their MScBA in Financial Economics & Business Management from Jönköping University, during the years 1994-1998. In 1997, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Financial Economics at San Francisco State University. Lars also received a Master of Science in Business Administration from Concordia University in 1996. Before entering higher education, they attended Ebersteinska Skolan from 1990 to 1993 and Djäkneparksskolan from 1987 to 1989.
