Chandra Shah is an accomplished research scientist with extensive experience in synthetic chemistry, particularly within the fields of neuroscience and inflammation. Currently employed at Epigen Biosciences, Inc. since 2012, Chandra previously held positions at J&J Pharmaceuticals Research and Development, AMGEN, INC., Sterling Winthrop, Inc., and the National Institute of Health Sponsored Research Program. Notable contributions include designing and synthesizing novel CNS molecules for various psychiatric conditions and synthesizing compounds targeting Tryptase and TNFα-Converting enzyme for asthma therapy. Chandra has also been involved in elucidating Structure Activity Relationships (SAR) in medicinal chemistry and has worked on the synthesis and purification of various psychopharmacological compounds.
