Cliona Connolly

Cliona Connolly has over a decade of experience in media and journalism, currently serving as the Irish Press Officer for the EPP Group in the European Parliament since December 2010. Prior to this role, Cliona worked as a Broadcast Journalist at Shannonside Northern Sound FM from February 2009 to November 2010, contributing to an award-winning news team through the creation of mini-documentaries and live news bulletins. Cliona's earlier experience includes serving as Editor and Freelance Journalist for The Monaghan Post from January 2007 to February 2009, where responsibilities encompassed editorial management and content creation. Cliona holds a degree in Media Studies from the University of Ulster (2002-2005) and completed a study abroad semester at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004.
