Mitchell S. Muncy

Mitchell S. Muncy has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Mitchell S. started their career as an Editorial Assistant and Production Manager at Texas Republic Magazine in 1993 and later became the Managing Editor.

In 1996, Muncy founded Spence Media, a division of Spence Publishing Company, where they successfully launched and led the division, generating a significant portion of the company's net revenue. Mitchell S. also served as the Executive Vice President, increasing the contribution margin of new titles and establishing partnerships in non-traditional sales channels. Additionally, they held the position of Editor In Chief, overseeing the editorial direction of the company.

Muncy later joined the Institute for American Values as the Chief Operating Officer, where they developed a strategic and financial plan that was adopted by the Board of Directors. Mitchell S. played a crucial role in securing major gifts and grants, including the largest individual gift and foundation grants in the organization's history.

Mitchell S. then became the Executive Director of Humanum, an international non-profit organization focused on marriage, where they restored the organization to solvency and led its acquisition by a larger institute.

Muncy's career also includes roles as the Executive Director of The Alexander Hamilton Society, where they built the organization from startup to over 50 chapters nationwide, and as the Director of Strategy at the Witherspoon Institute.

In 2016, Muncy founded Prospera LLC, where they serve as a Principal, providing strategy consulting, crisis management, and interim executive management to startups, non-profits, and philanthropists.

Additionally, they host a podcast called "The Successful Strategist," which focuses on strategy, management, and governance.

Most recently, Muncy joined the Ethics and Public Policy Center as the Executive Vice President in 2022, further expanding their leadership experience in the non-profit sector.

Additionally, Mitchell has completed a Certificate in the Professional Publishing Course at Stanford University. Mitchell S. furthered their passion for piano at the Tanglewood Institute, Young Artists Piano Program at Boston University, as well as the Meadows School of the Arts, Piano Preparatory Program at Southern Methodist University.
