Rainer Kopietz

Rainer Kopietz has over 23 years of work experience in the software development field. Rainer is currently the Head of Device Software - Bioprocess/Director Software Development at Eppendorf Group, a position they have held since August 2021. Prior to this, Rainer served as the Head of Device Software at DASGIP Information and Process Technology GmbH from February 2018 to July 2021. Rainer also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at DASGIP GmbH from June 2014 to January 2018. Rainer's previous experience includes roles as a Senior Engineer at Verum Diagnostica GmbH (2012-2014), a Software Developer at Verum Diagnostica GmbH (2009-2011), a Software Developer at ViewPoint GmbH (2008-2009), and a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at Universität München - Klinikum Großhadern (2003-2008). Rainer also worked as a Developer at Definiens AG (2002-2003), a System Manager and IT-Developer at Pixelpark (2000-2001), and a System Manager and IT-Developer at Object Factory GmbH (1998-2000).

Rainer Kopietz has a Doctorate degree in Human Biology (Dr. rer. biol. hum.) from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Rainer also holds a Diploma in Computer Science (Diplom-Informatiker) from Universität Dortmund. Prior to their higher education, Rainer attended Suitbertus Gymnasium Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth.
