Steven Guttentag

Steven Guttentag, PhD, has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Steven is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at EPS Learning since February 2023. In addition, they are a Board Member at The Siena School starting from April 2020. Previously, they worked as an Advisor at Otus from January 2022 to December 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Reading Plus from May 2019 to September 2021. Steven also has experience as a Venture Partner, Education at RIDGE-LANE Limited Partners from September 2018 to July 2021, and as a Principal at Stowaway Lane Advisers from September 2018 to June 2019. Steven was an Executive In Residence at Sterling Partners from January 2019 to May 2019. From February 2002 to August 2018, they served as the President & Co-Founder of Pearson Online & Blended Learning, a division of Pearson plc. Prior to that, they held the role of Chief Education Officer at Education Networks of America from 1999 to 2002. Lastly, Steven worked as a Manager at KPMG from April 1998 to November 1999, where they managed projects for state and local government clients in various areas such as information technology planning and strategy.

Steven Guttentag, PhD earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of Michigan in 1986. Steven then pursued a Masters degree in Teaching and Curriculum at the Harvard Graduate School of Education from 1988 to 1989. Later, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education Policy and Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, completing their studies between 1994 and 1999. Prior to their tertiary education, Steven earned a High School Diploma from Sidwell Friends School in 1981.
