Jean-Marc van Gyseghem

Jean-Marc Van Gyseghem currently holds the position of President of the Committee on Professional Conduct at the Superior Health Council of Belgium, where Jean-Marc has also served as a member and invited expert since October 2014. In addition, Jean-Marc has been Deputy Director and Senior Researcher at the Université de Namur since December 2001, leading the "Liberties and the Information Society" research unit. Jean-Marc's expertise extends to being an invited expert for advisory bodies on health and a senior lecturer at the Catholic University of Lyon. With a diverse background in privacy, eHealth, IT law, medical law, and liability, Jean-Marc works as an Associate Partner at Rawlings Giles Law Firm and serves as Data Protection Officer for multiple organizations including SILVA MEDICAL ASBL and Réseau Santé Bruxellois. Jean-Marc's academic contributions include financial and executive management of advanced Master's programs in law and vocational training at the University of Namur. Jean-Marc’s educational qualifications include degrees in law and medical law from several prestigious institutions.
