Matt Malone

With over 20 years senior technology leadership experience across private, public and not-for-profit sectors, Matt was appointed to the position of Chief Information Officer in February 2023.

Matt is responsible for the technology and digital strategy, cyber security and privacy and the development, implementation and support of the information systems, functions and technology infrastructure at Epworth HealthCare.

After starting his career in banking and finance at ANZ, Matt began working in the health sector in 2001. He has extensive experience across private and public hospitals, pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution, aged and community care, as well as general practice and pathology for organisations including Healthscope, Mercy Health, Symbion and Mayne.

Matt is currently a board member of the Deakin University Cyber Security Executive Advisory Board and a member of the GS1 Healthcare User Group.
