Ben Johnson

Ben Johnson has over 16 years of work experience in various roles related to communications, marketing, and publishing. Ben is currently the Director of Communications at Freedom Advisors since October 2021. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2021, they served as the President of Johnson Media Ventures, where they produced thought-leading coverage of national commercial real estate news, provided marketing and communications consulting services, and authored a biography on billionaire investor Sam Zell.

Additionally, Ben has held leadership positions at Connect Media - CRE, AssetMark, Institutional Real Estate, Inc., Marcus & Millichap, Cole Real Estate Investments, Cygnus Business Media, American Airlines, and CoStar Group. In these roles, they managed media companies, led the launch of Real Assets Adviser, directed marketing programs, developed brand strategies, and oversaw publishing divisions. Ben's expertise spans multiple industries, including commercial real estate, finance, and media.

Ben Johnson earned an Associate of Arts degree in Business Journalism from Missouri Southern State University from 1978 to 1980. Ben then went on to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Business Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, completing their education from 1980 to 1982.
