Lukas Friedemann has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Lukas is currently working as a Startup Mentor at Impact Hub Network. Prior to this, Lukas co-founded and served as the Chief of Growth and Operations at The Equal Food Co., a company focused on building a sustainable food chain by de-stigmatizing imperfect produce. Lukas also worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence & Startup Advisor at COMON.
Earlier in their career, Lukas co-founded and served as the Co-CEO of Philosoffee, a coffee company specializing in cold brew beverages. Lukas was responsible for design, branding, and marketing. Lukas also worked at Polymath Ventures, where they held several positions including Principal and Country Manager Mexico, Senior Business Designer, and Seed Fellow + Business Designer.
Additionally, Lukas served as the Interim CEO of KIDU, Latin America's first large-scale afterschool education solution for the middle class. Lukas worked on a project with Sustainable Harvest Coffee Importers as well, developing an affordable coffee dryer called SecaCafé.
Further, Lukas gained research experience as a Research Assistant at Stanford University Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law, and as a Consultant at UNHCR, where they worked on improving the planning, design, and governance of refugee camps and communities. Lukas also worked as a Field Researcher for Innovations for Poverty Action, conducting research on the adoption and usage of mobile money services in Tanzania.

Lukas Friedemann has a comprehensive education history that includes studies at various institutions. In 2010, they pursued a Semester Abroad in International Relations at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. Later on, Lukas studied at Jacobs University Bremen, where they completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Politics and History. Lukas then continued their educational journey at Stanford University, earning a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Policy Studies in 2013. Additionally, in the same year, Lukas attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business to participate in the Stanford Ignite program focused on Powering Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Overall, Lukas Friedemann has demonstrated a keen interest in social innovation, international relations, and entrepreneurial approaches to problem-solving.
