Anita Carson

Anita Carson is a dedicated education professional and community organizer with extensive experience in teaching and advocacy. Currently serving as a Statewide Community Organizer for Equality Florida since June 2022, Anita has previously worked with the Polk County School Board from August 2013 to November 2022 in various roles, including Science Instructor, Department Chair, English Language Instructor, and Title 1 Funds Facilitator. Prior experience includes positions as an English Language Instructor, Special Education Paraeducator, and Long Term Substitute Teacher with the Cobb County School District between August 2010 and July 2013. Anita began a career in childcare as a Childcare Worker for a private household from July 2005 to August 2010. Anita holds a Bachelor of Education degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Kennesaw State University, obtained in July 2010.
