Charles O'Brien

Charles O'Brien is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the energy and financial sectors. Currently serving as Senior Counsel for Equinor since January 2023, Charles previously held the position of Managing Counsel and US Legal Country Manager at Equinor US Holdings Inc. from June 1999 to January 2023. Prior to this, Charles worked as Legal Counsel at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission from August 1996 to June 1999. Early career roles include Legal Intern at the Resolution Trust Corporation and Floor Clerk at Timber Hill Inc., along with a Desk Clerk position at Prudential Bache Securities. Charles O'Brien holds a Juris Doctor degree from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
