James Bastien started their work experience as an Automotive Technician at J.B. Auto in July 1998 and worked in that role until December 2002. James then became a Fixed Operations Manager at the same company from December 2002 to April 2007.
After that, they worked as a Service Manager at Myers Volkswagen from April 2007 to May 2014.
Following this, they took on the role of Service Manager at St-Laurent Automotive Group - Jaguar-Land Rover-Volvo from May 2014 to January 2015.

Later, from 2007 to 2013, they enrolled in the Volkswagen Canada Academy and earned a Service Manager Master Certification. The field of study for this certification is unspecified.
