Sandeep Borkar P.e.

Sandeep Borkar, P.E., MBA, currently serves as the Director of Transmission Planning at LCRA since April 2019. In parallel, Sandeep has been with ERCOT since January 2014, holding roles including Manager and Supervisor of the Transmission Planning Assessment team, where responsibilities include evaluating the planning needs and solutions for the Texas power grid in accordance with NERC Reliability Standards. Prior consulting roles include projects at Strategy& and GE Digital, focusing on investment opportunities in IoT, solar generation, and branding strategies. Sandeep’s experience in the energy sector began at Entergy, where Sandeep supervised a team focused on transmission network modeling and developed processes to enhance transmission service. Academic qualifications include an MBA from Texas McCombs School of Business, an MS in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University, and a BE in Electrical Engineering from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans Sardar Patel College Of Engineering.
