Mickey Smith Jr.

Mickey Smith Jr. serves as the Assistant Director of Instrumental Arts at The King's Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida, since 2022, while also holding the position of Director of Instrumental Music at The Greene School WPB since June 2021. In addition, Mickey founded Smith Enrichment & Solutions LLC in February 2019 and has been an Educational Thought Strategist at SOUND180 since June 2017, focusing on educator enrichment, classroom management, and student engagement. As a Certified Speaker with Eric Thomas & Associates LLC since June 2018 and a musician/band director with Simply Sax Productions since August 2005, Mickey is recognized as a Grammy-nominated music educator and accomplished saxophonist. Previous experience includes serving as an award-winning educator with the Calcasieu Parish School Board from May 2017 to June 2021. Mickey holds a Master's degree in Music Education from McNeese State University, obtained between 1998 and 2008.
