Onno Sminia is a seasoned professional in innovation management and sustainability with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as the Global Innovation Manager at ERIKS, Onno oversees the Global Innovation Strategy and coordinates strategic innovation projects. Prior roles include Coordinator of Platform Sustainability & Circularity at Centrum Ondergronds Bouwen, where Onno led projects related to energy transition and circularity, and Innovation Manager at Croonwolter&dros, focusing on strategic sustainability and digital initiatives. Previous entrepreneurial ventures include co-founding Vrachtfiets and DINGdesign, emphasizing technical and business development in sustainable design. Onno holds a Master's degree in Integrated Product Design and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology, complemented by specialized education in entrepreneurship and corporate innovation.
