Will Lach has a diverse work experience in the publishing industry. Will started their career at Scholastic as a Copy Editor from 1993 to 1995 before moving on to work as an Associate Editor at Dorling Kindersley from 1995 to 1998. Will then joined The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where they held multiple roles, including Editor, Project Editor, and Senior Editor, in the Department of Special Publications from 1998 to 2007. During their time at the museum, Will managed the development, production, and distribution of various art-related publications and also sold rights to domestic and international publishers.
In 2013, Will joined the American Museum of Natural History as the Director of Licensing and Publishing. In this role, they successfully distributed and monetized the institution's assets, such as trade and educational publishing, image/video licensing, and product licensing. Will then moved to Abbeville Press in 2015, where they served as the Vice President and Editorial Director. Here, they developed and maintained relationships with cultural institution partners and played a key role in determining the overall direction of the publishing list and supervising the acquisition of titles by other editors.
Currently, Will is the Director of Sales at Eriksen Translations Inc., a position they started in 2018. In this role, they provide multilingual services to partners in various sectors and has driven double-digit sales increases every year. Will also engages new clients, new departments, and new services to spur growth.
