Laura McKenna

Laura McKenna has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Laura is currently the Vice President of Tax at ESAB since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at SYKES as the Vice President - Global Head of Taxation from 2019 to 2021, where they achieved successes in driving optimization in M&A transactions and efficiency in tax operations. Before that, Laura held the position of Senior Director of Tax Planning at Oracle from 2017 to 2019, where they led tax planning initiatives and developed successful positions for high-stakes tax disputes. Laura also served as the Vice President - Tax Counsel at Hertz from 2014 to 2017, where they played a critical role in rebuilding the tax department and led a complex spin-off. Prior to that, Laura worked as Senior Tax Counsel/Tax Planning at Chevron from 2008 to 2014. Laura began their career at Ernst & Young LLP as a Manager from 2007 to 2008 and also worked as a Senior Attorney at the IRS Office of the Chief Counsel from 2002 to 2006.

Laura McKenna has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara. Laura also holds a JD/LL.M degree in Law/Taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law.
