Merle Giles

Merle Giles has a long and varied work experience. In 2006, they became the Broker/Owner of Giles Real Estate and Brokerage. In 2007, they became the NCSA Director of Private Sector Program and Economic Impact at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2009, they were a School Board member at Mahomet-Seymour District #3. In 2010, they were a Founding Member of the International Industrial Supercomputing Workshop and a Steering Committee member of the Hyperion HPC User Forum. In 2015, they were the Book Author/Co-Editor of Industrial Applications of High-Performance Computing: Best Global Practices. In 2017, they were the General Manager of Providentia Worldwide LLC and the Founder and CEO of Moonshot Research LLC. In 2019, they became the Founder & CFO of Esaiyo Inc.

Merle Giles began their educational journey at Dunlap High School, graduating with a diploma in 1974. Merle then attended McPherson College KS as a freshman in the field of Accounting in 1975. In 1979, they obtained their CPA from the IL CPA Society and graduated from Illinois State University with a BS in Accounting & Business Administration. Merle then earned a Diploma from the University of Delaware in 1986 from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. In 1992, they obtained an MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Executive Management. Merle also studied Strategy at Ghent University in 1994. From 1998 to 2004, they attended HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and the University of M\u00fcnster for Business and Marketing, respectively. In 1973, they participated in a Study Abroad program with the American Field Service. Merle also holds a CPA certification from the AICPA.
