Britt T. Ashley is a Patent Attorney admitted to practice in Ohio and registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He earned his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Akron School of Law in 2007. Britt has experience in patent preparation, prosecution and opinion work, particularly in the fields of electrical and computer engineering dealing with ion beam technology, semiconductor processing, communications technology including radio networks, mobile devices and mobile network infrastructure, computer software and algorithms, microprocessor related circuits and architecture, gaming products, imaging technology including printer systems and magnetic resonance imaging, industrial automation, power electronics for generation and transmission, online banking, appliance technology for microwave ovens, refrigerators, water heaters, smart home technology, each including hardware and software. He has drafted and successfully prosecuted over two hundred patent applications.
While at the University of Akron, Britt was an Assistant Editor on Law Review and subsequently an Associate Editor on Law Review, was Treasurer of the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Association, and awarded the Karam Award for Academic Excellence.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in Biology from the University of Tennessee in 1996, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 2008 from the University of Akron.
