Carissa Iwamoto, MBA, RDN, SNS has extensive experience working in various roles related to purchasing, nutrition services, and food service management in school districts. Carissa is currently the Director of Purchasing and Risk Management at Escondido Union High School District, a role they started in August 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Purchasing and Nutrition Services at Carlsbad Unified School District from September 2019 to August 2022.

Before that, Carissa worked as the Director of Food Service at Fallbrook Elementary School District from July 2018 to September 2019. Carissa furthered their education by completing a Dietetic Internship at CSU Long Beach in 2012, focusing on Dietetics/Dietitian. Most recently, they enrolled in California State University-Dominguez Hills and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from 2016 to 2017.
