Michael D. Parker, CIPPE, obtained a Hon. B.A. degree in Anthropology from the University of Windsor, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Following that, they pursued Information Technology at St. Clair College from 1997 to 1999, earning a degree in the field. In terms of additional certifications, they became a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) through The International Association of Privacy Professionals in 2018. This was followed by their completion of the OneTrust Vendor Risk Management Expert certification from OneTrust in December 2020 and the IAPP KnowledgeNet Chapter Chair certification from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in March 2020. In the past, they also held the GSEC Gold certification from SANS Institute, although it has since expired. Furthermore, they recently attained the OneTrust Incident Response Management Expert certification from OneTrust in January 2021. While they also held the CISA and CISM certifications from ISACA, they have expired.
