Iulian Cojocaru has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and cybersecurity. Iulian started their career as an Assistant Programmer at Procter & Gamble in 2005 before moving on to work as a Programmer at Ciao | Shopping Guide GmbH in 2006. In 2007, they joined Level 7 Software as a Programmer, where they focused on data import and processing using .NET and SQL Server.
In 2008, Cojocaru joined Atigeo as a Software Engineer and worked on various projects, including designing and implementing a python library for data transformation and deploying it on an Amazon AWS cluster. Iulian also worked on a distributed recommender system, using Visual Studio .NET and relational databases initially and later transitioning to Java, Hadoop, and Cassandra.
In 2016, Cojocaru became a Solutions Software Engineer at Versive, which was later acquired by eSentire. At Versive, they contributed to the development of a security engine that detects ongoing adversary campaigns within corporate networks.
Currently, Cojocaru works at eSentire as a Staff Engineer, where they contribute to the evolution of MDR (Managed Detection and Response). Their role involves integrating security analyst expertise and technology to provide full-spectrum visibility, automate threat detection, and generate plain English descriptions and visualizations of unfolding threats.

Iulian Cojocaru obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in 2008 from the "Politehnica" University of Timisoara, Romania. Prior to that, they completed a degree in Software Engineer from the same university in 2006. Their education journey started at the Technical College "Constantin Radulescu" in Motru, Romania, where they earned an Assistant programmer degree in Computer Science in 2001. In addition to their formal education, Iulian Cojocaru has also obtained certifications in programming. Iulian completed the "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)" and "Python Data Structures" courses, earning certificates from Coursera in February 2016.
