Jan Schmid

Jan Schmid has comprehensive work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Since 2014, they have been working at esentri AG, first as a Principal Consultant and later as a Management Board Member. In these positions, they led digitalization projects, provided technology consulting, and managed agile teams. From 2018 to 2021, they served as the Director Digital Business, where they established and led the "Digital Innovation" business unit. This involved business model innovation, digitalization strategy and project implementation, and the exploration of emerging technologies. In 2021, they also took on the role of CFO and later expanded their responsibilities as the CFO & CHRO. Prior to esentri AG, they worked at eurofit24 GmbH as a Product Manager and was responsible for the project management and integration of a software solution. Jan also gained experience as a Freelancer, working as a Management Consultant, and as an MBA Summer Associate at ONEtoONE Capital Partners. Earlier in their career, they worked at Promatis as a Senior Consultant and Consultant, providing technological consulting and managing IT solution implementation projects for various industries.

Jan Schmid completed an MBA in General Management from IESE Business School, from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Informatik from Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, which they completed from 2002 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Jan Schmid has obtained several certifications. These include the CBBF - Certified Blockchain Business Foundations from the Blockchain Training Alliance, CSM - Certified SCRUM Master from the Scrum Alliance, Certified Blockchain Professional from The Linux Foundation through edX, Certified Google Design Sprint Facilitator from AJ&Smart GmbH, Führungstraining from Hager Unternehmensberatung GmbH, and PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) from the Project Management Institute. Dates of completion for these certifications are not provided.
