Matej Březina

Matej Březina has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Matej started their career at IBM Global Services in 2006, where they provided Windows Server support for ABB in Sweden. Matej worked on managing 400+ servers, virtual servers, and clusters in AIX Unix. Matej'srole also required proficiency in Windows and Unix shell scripting.

In 2008, Matej joined ESET as a developer in the core research and development team. Matej'sresponsibilities included malware processing, automation, and developing tools for malware analysts. Over the years, they took on roles of increasing responsibility, such as Software Engineer, Team Coordinator, and Team Lead. In these positions, they worked on automatic processing of incoming malware samples, automation, and developing tools for malware analysts. Matej was also involved in virus signature and program module updates preparation and distribution.

In their most recent role at ESET, starting in June 2018, Matej served as a Senior Software Engineer and the Team Lead of the Update Systems Team. Matej led a team responsible for the virus signatures database, module, and application updates preparation and distribution across ESET's worldwide network of update servers, external servers, and CDNs. Additionally, their team worked on improving automated incoming malware processing and tools for malware analysts.
