Prashant Sonakar

Prashant Sonakar is a Senior Services Engineer at ESI Group since May 2015, focusing on supporting OpenFOAM activities and development. Prior experience includes a Technical Consultant role at ŠKODA AUTO a.s. from May 2013 to April 2015, where Prashant developed and tested workflows for aerodynamic and underhood flow simulations in OpenFOAM. Prashant's earlier tenure at ESI Group from July 2009 to April 2013 involved developing workflows for aerodynamic studies, enhancing OpenFOAM modules for automotive applications, and performing exterior aerodynamic analyses. Prashant also held multiple onsite engineering positions at ŠKODA AUTO a.s. between 2011 and 2012. Educational qualifications include an M Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
