Spectrum Engineer at eSimplicity

Ben Longwood is a Senior Consultant at eSimplicity, where they have been working since September 2013. Prior to that, they worked as an Engineer IV Wireless at BAE Systems from January 2012 to September 2013. There, they supported the Wireless LAN (WLAN) program for the Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP). Ben also researched and evaluated wireless technologies and solutions required to satisfy defined requirements or assess potential solutions as directed.

Before their work at BAE Systems, Longwood was a Standards Engineer at Tridea Works LLC. In this role, they developed and revised systems engineering documentation including requirements, white papers functional analyses, and safety analyses. Ben also interpreted MIL-STD-461F and MIL-STD-464C and applied them for verification of proper implementation of 802.11b/g/n.

Longwood began their career as an E3 & Spectrum Engineer at URS Federal Technical Services, Inc. from April 2010 to September 2011.

Ben Longwood has a BSEE from Howard University and an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) in Electrical Technology from Alfred State College - SUNY College of Technology. Ben also has certifications from CompTIA in A+ and from CWNA in Certified Wireless Technology Specialist (CWTS).
