Michelle Shafer

Michelle Shafer, MPH, currently serves as the Senior Relationship Manager for Community Impact and Foundation at ESL Federal Credit Union, a position held since January 2019, focusing on promoting collaborations that enhance the health and equity of the Rochester region. Prior to this role, Michelle spent a decade at March of Dimes, where significant contributions included serving as the Maternal and Child Health Director for the Northeast, overseeing program strategy and execution across ten states, and as the National Director of Strategic Partnerships, driving growth and strengthening engagement with diverse organizations. Michelle's earlier career includes various leadership roles within March of Dimes and experience as a Health Information Specialist at the NIH and a Health Educator in the Baltimore City Public School District. Academically, Michelle holds a Master of Public Health from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and Education from SUNY Brockport, complemented by an Executive Leadership Program Certification from The Wharton School.
