Brent Myers, MD, MPH has extensive work experience in the healthcare field. In 2002, they joined the Wake County Department of EMS, where they served as the Director and Medical Director for over 13 years. In 2015, they moved on to become the Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President for Medical Operations at Evolution Health. After two years, Dr. Myers transitioned to the National Association of EMS Physicians, Inc, where they held the position of President from 2017 to 2019. Concurrently, they also worked as a Senior Medical Consultant at ESO before being promoted to Chief Medical Officer in 2018. Throughout their career, they have played a significant role in shaping and leading various healthcare organizations.

Brent Myers, MD MPH pursued their education in a sequential manner. Brent started by earning a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. Following this, they attended Wake Forest University School of Medicine from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. In 2002, they pursued a Master's Degree from the University of North Carolina School of Public Health.

In terms of additional certifications, Dr. Myers obtained certification as an American Board of Emergency Medicine Diplomate and in Emergency Medical Services from the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Brent also acquired certification in Clinical Informatics from the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM). However, specific dates for the certifications obtained are not provided.
