Eric Thornton

Eric Thornton, CPA, currently serves as a Cost Analyst at Algoma Steel Inc. since January 2023, having previously worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at OLG from January 2021 to January 2023. In addition, Eric imparted knowledge as a Business Mathematics Instructor at Sault College of Applied Arts and Technology for a semester in late 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Accountant and CPA Articling Accountant at MNP from May 2018 to January 2021, as well as serving as an Office Assistant for the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines during two summers in 2016. Eric began the professional journey with a General Labour position at The Corporation of the City of Sault Ste. Marie in the summer of 2015. Eric holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the Lang School of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph (2014-2018) and completed high school at Superior Heights Collegiate and Vocational School (2010-2014).
